Gertrude was found wandering a country road, emaciated and mangy. Obviously having spent her entire life in the clutches of a hunter who threw her away when she didn't perform. She is great with other dogs and very eager to please. After several months of treating her skin condition and getting her weight back up, Gert began to have difficulty walking and, although, a definite cause has never been discovered, she is now unable to use her back legs. She is a happy girl who gets along well with other dogs and loves, loves the humans :) Using her "help 'em up harness", Gertrude can get around and still enjoys life to the fullest! A custom cart was purchased from Eddie's Wheels and she is happy to be mobile again :) Her harness and cart will, of course, accompany Gert to her new home.
